Together we can create the conditions to ensure more districts, schools, and students thrive.

Focused Student Supports

We must focus our energy on the research-based practices that have the best chance of helping students to succeeed. Some examples include: expanded access to early childhood and literacy programs, rigorous curricular materials, and supports to address individual student needs.

Real Accountability

We must provide districts and schools with the supports they need to improve student outcomes. We also need options for what to do if over time those improvement efforts are not successful. It's time to upgrade our accountability systems.

Improved Data Systems

In order to make significant improvements to education in Nevada we need to know what's working and what's not working. However, our current data systems don't provide the level of detail that we need to make more informed decisions. Better data will help us to accelerate our progress.

Statewide Talent Strategy

Effective educators are leaving our schools and districts at unprecedented rates. At the same time, we have not been able to attract the number of new educators we need for our students. We must develop a comprehensive talent strategy across the state to ensure that we have the education workforce we need

for today and for the future.

Getting to better outcomes requires us to first get on the same page. Well meaning people and entities across our state are working hard to improve education, but they often aren't talking to each other or aligning their efforts. We need to have a clear, compelling, and connected vision that we are all working towards.

Connected Vision
